Solar Panel Efficiency
For years, manufacturers of solar panels have been competing to create solar panels with the highest possible output. Solar panels used to have a 100-watt standard capacity a decade ago, but nowadays, residential projects utilise panels with capacities of 300 to 400 watts.
An efficient solar panel can generate more energy while occupying less roof space. Solar panel efficiency is calculated by dividing the panel’s wattage by its square meterage.
What is Solar Panel Optimisation?
Solar panel optimisation is an add-on feature for your system that enhances its performance. A standard system can be created by connecting solar panels via strings. These strings have several solar panels connected in a series. A single shaded panel in a string will decrease the output of all other panels in that string.
A solar panel optimiser is a device that increases the solar system’s output. When a panel is shaded, the optimiser bypasses the inefficient panel to allow the rest of the panels to operate at full potential.
